Camp Akalaka - Certified Day Camp

Camp Akalaka day camp is a partnership between Cornell Cooperative Extension of Franklin County & the Greater Malone YMCA. All children ages 5-12 years of age are welcome to participate in a variety of fun summer activities. For more information, visit our NEW website: www.campakalaka.org

Camp Akalaka Weeks

Camp Runs for 9 consecutive weeks from July 1st to August 30th, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.  The weeks and trips are as follows:

1: July 1st - July 5th (4 day week)    Independence Day Celebration

2: July 8th - July 12th                       Nicandri Nature Center, Massena NY

3: July 15th - July 19th                            The VIC, Paul Smiths, NY 

4: July 22nd - July 26th                    Camp Jericho, Altona NY 

5: July 29th- August 2nd                         Camp Overlook, Mt View NY

6: August 5th - August 9th                    Franklin County Fair 

7:Augist 12th- August 16th                     Mini Golf, Potsdam NY 

8: August 19th- August 23rd                  Chateaugay Town Hall

9: August 26th – August 30th                Beach Day, TBD


Camp Akalaka will be held at The Malone Ice Arena, 64 State Street, Malone


Camp Akalaka Fees

$135 per week / one child

    $225 per week / two siblings

      $295 per week / three siblings

Camp Akalaka is a certified day camp registered with NYS Department of Health
