4-H Community Educator - Malone, NY
This position will serve as 4-H Community Educator for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Franklin County and will implement educational programming for a menu of existing Extension 4-H programs in accordance with established program parameters. Program topics will include, but not be limited to: Ag in the classroom, gardening, STEM programs, astronomy, meteorology, civic engagement, leadership activities, animal science, 4-H club volunteers, including volunteer recruitment and training and county-wide 4-H fundraising. The 4-H educational programs will be provided to program participants using a variety of delivery methods to include, but not limited to: workshops, seminars, demonstrations, interest groups, newsletters, farm visits, and mass media.
This position is a full-time exempt position - 100% FTE with a competitive salary range of $38,000 to $40,000 depending on experience. This position, based on eligibility, offers a comprehensive benefit package, to include: health and dental insurance, retirement, vacation, sick and personal leave.
Bachelor’s Degree. One (1) year volunteer or related work experience.
Valid Driver’s License and the ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position.
Ability to meet acceptable background check standards (DMV and criminal background checks).
Ability to work flexible hours, which may include evenings and/or weekends, as appropriate.
