Camps

Cornell Cooperative Extension Franklin features two camps, a day camp AND residential summer camp.

4-H Camp Overlook

4-H Camp Overlook is a traditional 6 Day, 5 night overnight camp located in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains on Indian and Mountain View Lakes. Camp is owned and operated by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Franklin and St. Lawrence Counties. The mission of 4-H Camp Overlook is to provide a natural Adirondack environment where youth, under the guidance of positive role models, take part in a personal growth experience that emphasizes community building, positive social interactions, environmental awareness, skill building, and fun. The direct contact number for 4-H Camp Overlook is 518-483-4769.

Camp Registration Opens February 1st.

Please check out our website for more info: 4hcampoverlook.org

4-H Camp awards financial scholarships to campers of Franklin and St. Lawrence Counties. While we do everything possible to keep the rates of attending camp low, the rising costs of operating a facility and program like 4-H Camp Overlook continue to climb. These scholarships are available to all youth in Franklin and St. Lawrence County with financial need, and help local children have an amazing summer experience that otherwise would not be available to them!

If you're interested in donating to our Scholarship Campaign please make your check payable to "4-H Camp Overlook" and include "Scholarship Campaign" in the memo portion. To give online, please click on the button below. We appreciate your generosity and commitment in our time of need!
