2020 Virtual 4-H Fair "Together Where Ever"

4-H in Franklin County is planning to "Bring Fair to You"! 

Yes, including Cotton Candy and other fair treats!  ** Social distancing & by the rules!!**

A few things you should be aware of:

  • Only enrolled 4-H youth members will be allowed to participate, please contact your 4-H leader or our office if you are unsure of your status
  • Entries per department will be limited to the following numbers per youth:
    • Domestic Arts (All entries in youth building book except the small animal section)- 10 entries total
    • Poultry- 10 class entries total
    • Dairy- 5 head total
    • Beef- 5 head total
    • Goats- 1 animal per breed class and not to exceed 8 animals total
    • Sheep- 1 animal per class
    • Small animal- 1 animal per class
    • Horse- enter the classes you would have done at fair- Pat will let each youth know what classes are able to be done after entries are made.
  • All Animal youth will have to do showmanship
  • No Premiums will be paid out to youth- ribbons and special awards will still be presented.
  • Locations to meet and evaluate non-animal projects will be determined on a per family basis after entries are made
  • Animal lease forms are not required this year, just mark on entries if it is an owned or leased project
  • All animals and youth must be "show ring ready" when being evaluated. That means washed, clipped, shined, and dressed appropriately, to the youths best ability.
  • All judges will be volunteers
  • Photos and videos will be taken of the projects and project animals to be used for final review and naming of champion projects

Please do not wait to make your entries!!!

Fair evaluations will begin August 21st. All families will be contact to schedule an evaluation time once all entries have been received.

We encourage all entries to be made online, but paper entry forms are available to be mailed upon request. All fair books and entry forms are posted on the CCE Franklin website.
