NEW- 4H Wild Edibles Curriculum Training for Educators

4H Wild Edibles Curriculum Required Training will be offered to CCE staff, 4H leaders, and youth enrolled in the 4H program who are age 12 or older, on Thursday, May 24, 9:00-4:30 at 4H Camp Overlook, Mountain View, NY. This training is required for anyone who wishes to implement the Wild Edibles curriculum in 4H programs in their counties. Training will include: New curriculum, program requirements, safety requirements, hands-on instruction in identification, project ideas for fairs, preparation of a “wild lunch”, medicinal history, and a Native American component exploring the descriptive language and history of use of plants in the curriculum. Participants will be required to teach what they have learned at the end of the day. All materials are included. Lodging is available at 4H Camp Overlook for anyone wishing to stay Wednesday night.
