Agriculture Education Specialist

This position will serve as the Agriculture Education Specialist for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Franklin County and will assist in program communication, implementation, and coordination of Agriculture and Dairy Promotion programs. Under the oversight of the Team Leader, this position will implement, and communicate programming for a menu of Agriculture Education programs and program activities. This position requires a strong skillset in communication and will utilize a variety of educational delivery methods, both on-site and off-site to include, but not limited to: direct teaching, group experiences, media, newsletters, electronic technology, internet, virtual learning, workshops, contests and forums. The Specialist will communicate relevant and rigorous Agriculture and Dairy content to students while incorporating educational resources which are adaptable for in-person instruction, virtual learning, and the new hybrid model of education.

Finance Coordinator

This position will serve as the Payroll and Accounts Coordinator for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Franklin County and will provide coordination and administrative direction and management for all assigned Association Financial Operations. This position is responsible for tracking and monitoring the day-to-day functions of assigned work within the Finance Department including, but not limited: handling general record keeping, such as preparing payment forms, billing tasks, maintaining grant and contract budgets, working to input Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable data in accounting software; office organization (i.e. filing, copying and preparing worksheets for billings); cash receipts; and bank statements. This position will coordinate small projects as well as perform routine data collection, compilation or basic statistical data computations. This position will work with administrative, program and management staff to prepare grant billings and other Association invoices. This position will work closely with the SBN Finance Leads to ensure that functional area best practice recommendations are implemented in accordance with established timeframes. This position will reach out to SBN Finance Leads for assistance and troubleshooting, as needed. This position will assist with other finance duties as assigned. This position will work under the oversight and direction of the Association Executive Director and will act as the backup support for office operations as needed.

After School Program Assistant

This position is classified as an Association Temporary Program position and will serve as a Program Assistant responsible for assisting the after-school program with after-school program activities that have been determined within the scope of work between Cornell Cooperative Extension of Franklin County (CCE) and the school district. This position is responsible for support to the organization within the limits of established policies, guidelines and/or procedures. This position will encourage and engage program participants to complete academic applications that improve their learning set skills. The Program Assistant will positively promote and utilize existing 4-H program activities and research-based curriculum in assisting with programming efforts. This position will be a supportive and positive role model to program participants. This position will assist with monthly meetings and activities which engage mentees and mentors in activities that are supplemental to regular programming. This position will communicate with the Program Director and report any concerns to ensure positive promotion of 4-H programming. The Program Assistant will communicate with colleagues, customers, Association leaders, and government officials in a professional manner and will appreciate and embrace diversity in all interactions with clientele, staff, volunteers, and the public. This position is responsible for carrying out other professional duties as assigned to fulfill the policies and priorities of the Association.
