The NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets has updated their schedule for the webinar training session for the Women Infants and Children (WIC) Vegetables and Fruits Check Program (WIC VF) and the Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP). The WIC VF and FMNP trainings are now being offered as individual presentations!
WIC FV Training Requirement: Farmers that complete the WIC VF training session will satisfy the annual training requirement for the WIC VF program.
FMNP Training Requirement: Farmers that complete the FMNP training will satisfy the training requirement for new farmers in the FMNP.
How to Register for a Webinar
Webinars are free and last 1 - 2 hours. The presentation is delivered via an
online application called WebEx and the audio is available only through the
phone. PC and Mac users will be prompted to download a browser add-in the first
time they log into WebEx. Mobile device users will have to download the
application for WebEx to attend from their app store. There are three types of
webinars:
- A combined WIC VF and FMNP webinar
- A FMNP-only webinar
- A WIC VF-only webinar
The free online farmer training for the combined WIC VF and FMNP will be held:
- Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 6pm
The free online farmer training for FMNP only will be held:
- Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 2pm
- Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 1pm
- Friday, May 6, 2016 at 12 Noon
- Monday, May 16, 2016 at 6pm
- Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 12 Noon
The free online farmer training for WIC VF only will be held:
- Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 1pm
- Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 2pm
- Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 1pm
- Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 7pm
- Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 1pm
